Tube options

Start with section, load and assembly requirements

Round Tubes

For shafts, poles, frames, supports and lightweight structural assemblies.

Square Tubes

Flat mounting faces can simplify alignment in frames and assemblies.

Rectangular Tubes

Application-specific geometry for directional structural requirements.

Buyer FAQ

Custom carbon fiber tube questions

What dimensions should I provide?

Send the section shape, inside or outside dimensions, wall thickness, length, quantity and critical tolerances. The thin-wall tube specification guide explains how to compare dimensional and construction proposals.

Can weave and finish be customized?

Visible weave and matte or gloss appearance can be reviewed with structural requirements. See the strength and load-direction guide when defining those structural requirements.

Can I request a sample?

Where appropriate, a sample can be reviewed and approved before repeat production.

Specification decisions

Choose the section, then define the interfaces

DecisionWhat to define
Bore or outside fitIdentify the controlling surface for an insert, clamp or bearing; give the mating dimension and fit requirement.
Wall and reinforcementSeparate nominal wall thickness from fibre direction and appearance. Geometry alone does not specify a laminate.
Cut ends and secondary workMark finished length, cut angle, holes, bonded regions and any cosmetic zones.
AcceptanceAgree measurement positions and the drawing revision; request project-specific verification where loads or deflection matter.

Worked specification example

For a nominal 20 × 18 mm round tube, the calculated wall is 1 mm. An internal insert needs a bore-fit requirement, while an external clamp needs an OD requirement. Neither fit tolerance can be inferred from the nominal dimensions.
